Suzuki unveiled its iM-4 concept at the Geneva Motor Show. The new car is designed to be simple and clean 'with a hint of retro', and presents the company's vision for a new compact 4x4. With a high ground clearance and running on large-diameter tyres, the concept is powered by Suzuki's smart hybrid system with integrated starter generator said to deliver excellent fuel consumption with low CO2 emissions.

VIDEO: Concepts of Geneva 2015 : Infiniti QX30, Aston Martin DBX, Nissan Sway, Bentley EXP 10
The Infiniti QX30 concept made its global world debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The premium compact crossover hints at its off-road capabilities with a high-riding stance and huge 21-inch wheels, while incorporating flowing styling cues from other Infiniti concepts. Aston Martin surprised everyone in Geneva with its DBX all-electric, all-wheel drive crossover concept. The DBX features a deliberate use of non-automotive standard materials on the inside, with Nubuck leather and spaceship style hi-tech equipment. Nissan revealed its Sway concept, designed to shake up the compact hatchback segment with its 'edgy' styling, characterised by bold contours and flared arches. The interior is easily accessible thanks to rear-hinged back doors and no central B-pillar. Bentley unveiled the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept – a high performance two seater powered by a new, advanced hybrid powertrain. With its short front overhang, long bonnet and low grille, the Speed 6’s design is said to be influenced by the aerodynamic shapes of aircraft fuselages and wings.

Hyundai's all-new Tucson is set to make its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Replacing the ix35, it promises 'high levels of quality, design and technology', combining an SUV profile with the Hyundai signature hexagonal front grille incorporating LED daytime running lights. Powered by a choice of two petrol and three diesel engines, mated to either a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual, the new Tucson goes on sale later in the year.

Kia has reveal its Trail'ster e-AWD concept at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The Soul EV-based show car features a bold design with a fully retractable canvas roof and LED lighting. Powered by a 188 PS 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, an electric motor is housed on the rear axle offering the option of all-wheel drive for enhanced launch acceleration, improved off-road traction and electric-only low speed driving.
VIDEO: Honda CR-V facelifted for 2015
Honda has revamped its CR-V for 2015. A restyled front end features HID projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights which flow into a new grille. The 2.2-litre diesel engine has been replaced by a new 160 PS 1.6-litre unit which can be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The SUV’s interior has also been revised and features new technology such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control which automatically reacts to other vehicles ‘cutting-in’. Prices for the new-look Honda CR-V have yet to be announced.

Kia's all-new, second-generation Soul is now on sale. The compact SUV crossover offers more space in its revitalised cabin, says Kia, as well as enhanced safety and sharper driving dynamics thanks to a new chassis based on the Kia cee'd's. The new Soul is available with either a 1.6-litre petrol or turbodiesel engine - the latter returning over 56 miles per gallon on the combined cycle - while an all-electric model joins the line-up later this year. Prices start from £12,600 on the road.
VIDEO: Land Rover strikes partnership with Virgin Galactic
Land Rover has confirmed a long-term partnership with Richard Branson's commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic. The announcement was made alongside SpaceShipTwo, the world's first commercial passenger carrying spacecraft, together with Land Rover's newly-unveiled Discovery Vision Concept, on board the USS Intrepid in New York. A fleet of Land Rovers will be based at the Virgin Galactic test centre in California, providing a 'shuttle' service for future Astronauts.

VIDEO: Land Rover invents invisible car
Land Rover's 'Transparent Bonnet' technology is to offer drivers a digital vision of the road ahead making the front of the car appear invisible. Cameras located in the front grille capture data which is fed to the Head-Up Display, effectively creating a 'see-through' view of the terrain through the bonnet and engine bay. Drivers climbing steep inclines or manoeuvring in tight spaces will see an augmented reality view showing the angle and position of the front wheels. The new technology will be showcased on the Discovery Vision Concept at the New York Auto Show.

With the 2014 New York Auto Show just around the corner, we take a look at some key cars that will be making their debuts. Kia is set to unveil an all-new Sedona midsize MPV - with room for up to eight passengers while Nissan is teasing us ahead of the global premiere of the next generation Murano SUV. Mercedes will debut the V8 biturbo-powered S 63 AMG Coupe. With 585bhp on tap, it promises true supercar performance -- and while we're on the subject, McLaren's new 650S Coupe and Spider will make their North American debuts in the Big Apple. The New York Auto Show runs from 18-27 April.

Jeep has revealed the all-new Renegade -- its first entry in the small SUV segment. The new model is said to combine Jeep's heritage with fresh new styling and features designed to appeal to a youthful and adventurous audience. Drive comes from a choice of 16 powertrain combinations including the world's first nine-speed automatic transmission in the segment. For off-road fans, the Trailhawk model features 'Jeep Active Drive Low', which includes a 20:1 crawl ratio and a Selec-Terrain system. Prices for the new Jeep Renegade have yet to be announced.

Renault has revealed its all-new C-segment crossover - the Kadjar. Characterised by a new LED lighting signature, it will be powered by a choice of petrol and diesel engines with either two- or four-wheel-drive. Its high ground clearance, coupled with front and rear skid plates and up to19-inch rims, hint at the Kadjar’s off-road capabilities. Further details are set to be released at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, with a provisional UK showroom arrival set for the Autumn.

The Porsche Macan is making its UK debut in a specially constructed window display at the exclusive Harrods department store in London's Knightsbridge. Porsche's first ever compact SUV is appearing alongside the new 911 Turbo S and the Panamera S E-Hybrid until the 5th February, treating passers-by to the only opportunity to view the car until it reaches UK showrooms in April. Available to order now, prices for the V6-engined Macan range from £43,300 to £59,300.
