Prior to going on sale in the Spring, the new generation Isuzu D-Max will make its public debut at the CV (Commercial Vehicle) Show at the NEC, Birmingham.
The new pick-up has a brand new 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine, which produces 164 PS and 360Nm of torque and retains the 3.5 tonne towing capacity and 1 tonne payload whilst providing, says Isuzu, ‘a quieter, more refined and economical driving experience’. Inside, a range of new touchscreen entertainment systems is available, equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – and there are also improvements to ergonomics and trim quality.
As per previous D-Max models, Shift-On-The-Fly 4x4 is a key feature of the 2017 Model Year truck. The rotary dial allows the driver to select four-wheel drive on the move as well as low range gears while new Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist are fitted across the range. The D-Max was the first pick-up in the UK to be offered with comprehensive warranty cover and the new model continues this feature with a five-year / 125,000-mile package as standard, backed up by five years’ recovery and European cover, a three-year paint warranty, a six-year anti-corrosion warranty and service intervals set at 12,000 miles or 24 months.
The new generation D-Max will be unveiled at 10am on 25 April on the Isuzu stand in Hall 5 of the NEC. The CV Show takes place from 25-27 April.
