Set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show, Kia's new GT promises 0-100km/h acceleration in a shade over 5 seconds.
The new four-seater coupé is teased in a series of videos which hide its final form but reveal key details of its performance potential during a test last month at the High-Speed Handling Track at the Namyang R&D Centre in South Korea where the fastback achieved its pre-homologation development target, making it the fastest-accelerating Kia ever!
The only official image of the GT – a basic black and white silhouette – suggests the production car will be be based closely on the sleek GT concept unveiled in Frankfurt back in 2011.
All will be revealed when the new Kia concept makes its world premiere at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 8, 2017.
