Fiat’s performance arm - Abarth - is gearing up for plenty of show debuts in Geneva.
A new Pista version of the Abarth 595 will be on the stand, and is powered by a 1.4 T-jet engine with 160 HP aiding a top speed of 134mph. 0-62 is reached in 7.3 seconds.
The 595 Pista features body colour front and rear bumpers, as well as rear-view mirror caps and brake callipers (black, red or yellow). Furthermore, the door handles and the specific “595 Pista” badge holder come in a titanium finish. The electrically operated top and the rear parking sensors are standard on the convertible model.
It will be joined on the stand by a numbered and limited edition Abarth 695 Yamaha XSR alongside the Yamaha XSR900 Abarth motorbike - which comes as part of the brand's role as Official Car Supplier of the Yamaha Factory Racing Team.
The 695 Yamaha XSR is available exclusively with a Pista Grey livery - only 695 hard top and 695 convertibles will be made. The new car was created to celebrate the Yamaha XSR900 Abarth, which is the first exclusive motorcycle to spring from the collaboration between the two brands and which sports the same grey livery with red trim as the 695 XSR, as well as sharing many of its features - with plenty of carbon fibre, both bike and car share a Akrapovič ultralight exhaust. The Abarth car is powered by a 1.4 T-Jet engine delivering 165 HP, which can be optionally increased to 180 HP.
A special series Abarth 124 spider Scorpione will also be in Geneva. The new Scorpione special series is finished in “San Marino 1972 Black” livery with “Forgiato Grey” details.
Powered by a 1.4 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 170 HP and 250 Nm of torque: it has a top speed of 144mph and goes from 0 to 62mph in 6.8 seconds, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment includes a Record Monza exhaust with Dual Mode system capable of modifying the path of the exhaust gas according to pressure, ‘guaranteeing linear torque and power delivery’ and generating a deep roar at the same time. In addition to the 6-speed manual transmission, the spider is also available with the Esseesse Sporty Sequential automatic transmission.
The Scorpione maintains all the features of the 124 spider and is characterised by black microfibre and leather seats designed to maximise grip.
