Audi is expanding its range of S models with the new SQ5 TDI plus.
The plus version has an even higher power output than the standard SQ5 TDI, producing 340 hp from its three litre engine - an increase of 27 hp - thanks to increased injection pressure, while peak torque is up from 650 to 700 Nm.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.1 seconds and the top speed is electronically governed to 250 km/h (155.3 mph).
As with all Audi S models, the SQ5 TDI plus delivers its power to the road via the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, but for the first time in a Q5, a sport differential has been fitted at the rear axle to actively distribute drive to the wheels.
Exterior features include gloss black 21-inch cast aluminium wheels with a 5-twin-spoke star design from Audi Sport shod with 255/40 R21 tyres. The standard black gloss package has been extended to include the exterior mirror housing, the door handles, the roof edge spoiler and the diffuser.
Inside, the sliding rear seat bench increases versatility and expands the luggage compartment, if necessary. The armrests in the door trims are upholstered in leather, while the Nappa leather seat covers feature a diamond pattern in silver.
In addition to these features, quattro GmbH has put together the special equipment package "Audi exclusive selection macaw blue", which is limited to 100 units, for the SQ5 TDI plus.
The body is painted in the customised colour macaw blue, crystal effect and the interior comes with sport seats in black fine Nappa leather.
Matching the exterior colour, there's macaw blue contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, gearlever gaiter and floor mats, while the inlays are finished in aluminium/Beaufort black.
The Audi SQ5 TDI plus is priced at €67,700 in Germany while the exclusive equipment package adds an extra €12,000. UK order books open later this year
