Hamilton said: “What's exciting is the new car, to get in and see what are the strengths and weaknesses of it, how can you translate that feeling you have to the guys, so I'm massively excited about that part". Meanwhile Jenson Button is optimistic about his chances behind the wheel of the new McLaren MP4-30, which marks the start of a new engine partnership with Honda.

VIDEO: Return to rallying for Toyota with Yaris WRC
Toyota is to return to the FIA World Rally Championship in 2017 - 18 years after its last competitive outing. A Yaris WRC, in racing livery, has been unveiled, signalling a comeback for the team which claimed four drivers’ and three manufacturers’ titles in the 1990s. The new car is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing more than 300bhp and features a chassis developed using advanced simulation, testing and production techniques.
VIDEO: Skoda to star in Forest Rally Stage at Goodwood
Skoda will be running its Fabia S2000 Rally Car through the Forest Rally Stage at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The 2014 theme is "Addicted to winning -- The Unbeatable Champions of Motor Sport", which will celebrate legendary and triumphant drivers, riders, teams and manufacturers. As such, the forest stage, situated at the top of the hillclimb course, will play host to the multi-championship-winning Fabia, along with a host of other rally legends. The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from 26-29 June.
VIDEO: Covers come off 2014 Formula 1 cars
The leading Formula 1 title challengers have revealed their 2014 cars ahead of winter testing in Spain. Mercedes unveiled the F1W05 - the first all-new Silver Arrow to hit the track since 1954. Meanwhile McLaren pulled the covers off the MP4-29 with the team admitting they have responded to the disappointment of last year. Ferrari introduced the F14 T, its sixtieth car built specifically for a Formula 1 World Championship and finally Infiniti Red Bull Racing revealed the RB10. Powered by the Renault Energy F1-2014 engine, the team hopes it's good enough to deliver a fourth straight championship. Racing gets underway on March 16 in Australia.
