Tesla reveals new Model X 60D prices
Tesla has confirmed the Model X 60D will start at £64,100 (after incentives).
The name refers to the model's 60kWh battery which comes with an 8 year, infinite mileage warranty. The all-wheel drive, all-electric Model X 60D delivers an estimated range of 220 miles (NEDC) and a top speed of 130 mph, with 0-60mph taking 6 seconds.
With seating for seven people in three rows, Tesla says the second row seats are a ‘work of art’, mounted on a single post and independently reclining, or folding forward for even more cargo space in conjunction with the third row seats which fold flat when not in use. Falcon Wing doors allow easy access to both the second and third rows..
Like all Tesla vehicles, the 60D comes standard with active safety features and Autopilot hardware, and can later be upgraded through a software update to 75 kWh - for an increased range of approx. 20%. The floor-mounted battery lowers the centre of gravity so that the risk of rollover is, accordion to Tesla, ‘about half that of any vehicle in its class’.
The Model X 60D qualifies for a UK £4,500 plug-in vehicle grant and waivers for road tax, company car tax and the London congestion charge.
