Skoda reveals interior of new Kodiaq SUV
Just ahead of its world debut, Skoda has released interior shots of its new large SUV – the Kodiaq.
Skoda says the photos emphasise the brand’s design language in the cockpit whilst highlighting its functionality and build quality.
At 4.70 metres long and 1.88 metres wide, the Kodiaq is the first-ever Skoda to be offered in a seven-seater format. Longitudinally adjustable reclining seats allow it to be configured for a variety of different seating and cargo requirements.
With a volume of 720 to 2,065 litres (with rear seats folded), the five-seater version
offers the largest boot in its class.
The dashboard is uncluttered and divided into two symmetrical zones for driver and passenger. A large touchscreen display sits logically in the centre, above the usual bank of heating and ventilation controls while the seats are said to be made of ‘high quality materials, offering the driver and front passenger superior comfort’.
Skoda is promising more than 30 of its signature ‘Simply Clever’ solutions, such as door
edge protection, electric child safety locks and sleep headrests.
The new Skoda Kodiaq will make its world premiere in Berlin on 1 September 2016.
