Renault reveals all-new Mégane Grand Coupé
Renault is extending its Mégane line-up with a new saloon version – the Grand Coupé.
The Grand Coupé features sculpted surfaces and the Renault-family front end with C-shaped front lighting signature. A broad panoramic glass roof, which Renault says is unique to the segment, links the windscreen to the rear window.
The new model’s three-box body promises 'top-level rear-seat space’, as well as a 508-litre boot, with easier access thanks to the hands-free Easy Boot Access system.
Like the rest of the Mégane family, the new Grand Coupé includes a 7-inch colour TFT instrument panel, an 8.7-inch multimedia tablet, R-Link 2, Multi-Sense, Easy Park Assist and additional comfort equipment and driving aids such as Advanced Emergency Braking System and Lane Departure Warning.
Depending on the country, the engine range comprises of two petrol engines; SCe 115 with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and the TCe 130, available with a 7-speed dual-clutch EDC automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Three diesel engines will also be available (country dependent) and range from the dCi 90, available with a 6-speed manual gearbox to the dCi 110 with a 6-speed manual gearbox or the EDC 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and the dCi 130, available with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
