Pricing confirmed for MG’s new GS SUV
MG’s all-new GS will cost from £14,995 OTR.
Available in three trim levels, with an option of manual or DCT transmission, the entry level GS Explore comes with cruise control, automatic headlamps and air conditioning as standard.
Moving up the range, the GS Excite adds DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and rear parking sensors, and costs £17,495 OTR.
The range-topping Exclusive is available with a choice of either the 6-speed manual or MG’s first 7-speed DCT gearbox. Electrically adjustable Leather sports seats and an iGO navigation system are also added with prices starting at £19,495 OTR for the manual and £20,995 OTR for the DCT.
Returning CO2 emissions of 139g/km for the manual and 141g/km for the DCT, the new GS gets to a 60mph in 9.6 seconds. The chassis has been tuned to deliver ‘agility and great handling’ says MG, while the new car offers a towing mass of 1750kg, making it suitable for towing a large family caravan.
With a full five year factory warranty as standard, MG says the GS also has more power and torque than its two wheel drive petrol competitors with 250Nm and 122kw available.
Matthew Cheyne, Head of Sales and Marketing for MG, said: “This car offers so much for comparatively little, making it the SUV to choose. The specification on these cars is phenomenal and when you add in the five year warranty it’s a no-brainer. There are some really great features as well, such as the adjustable rear seats that not only recline but fold completely flat making it adaptable for whatever the customer’s lifestyle.
“Customers choosing the MG GS will save money over more expensive SUVs. They will have all the specification they could want and still have money left to enjoy holidays or family days out.”
The MG GS will be on sale from Thursday 16 June.
