Hyundai backs Elite model search
Elite Model Management has teamed up with Hyundai, using the new Tucson to scout new talent for its annual “Elite Model Look UK” competition.
Elite London is driving across the UK using a pair of Hyundai Tucsons to recruit members of the public for its modelling contest. The team are visiting various UK music festivals and the cars will be used as the meeting point at each event where members of the public can sign up.
Josh Challans, Head of Elite Model Look UK, said: “2016 marks an exciting new chapter for Elite Model Look UK, working with one of the most dynamic automobile brands with global appeal, Hyundai. With their support, we will be at some of the coolest music festivals in the UK. We can’t wait to see what these new scouting locations have to offer.”
Once Elite’s model scouts have visited the key locations across the UK, successful candidates will be invited to a model casting in London. Those selected from the model casting will then go on to a bootcamp and final which will take place at a secret location in London during the last week of August. The winner will become Elite London’s ‘New Face’ and will receive a three-year modelling contract before going on to compete in the Elite Model Look World Final planned to take place in Prague in November.
Vanessa Bunting, Hyundai UK’s Brand Familiarity and Digital Manager, commented: “We are delighted to support Elite London this year for its world-famous modelling contest. This is a very exciting partnership for us and it’s great that Hyundai’s vehicles will be the enablers for what will be a life-changing competition. Our strategy for 2016 is to focus on different content strands that appeal to each of our target customer segments, and through this initiative we will be able to co-create content that will appeal to a younger audience, as well as engage Elite’s existing strong social following.”
This is not the first time Hyundai has collaborated with emerging talent- earlier this year the company teamed up with The Mercury Prize as their title partner for the 25th Anniversary Awards evening. Since then, they’ve also partnered with the Van Gogh museum, covering the Hyundai IONIQ with the iconic work “Sunflowers”.
