Eadon Green Black Cuillin revealed
The retro-styled Black Cuillin coupé from Eadon Green has been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
Said to be inspired by the Alfa 8C 2900 of the 1930s, the British carmaker's ethos was to to explore the idea of a romantic Grand Tourer.
The aim to produce something ‘refined, elegant, powerful, quiet, exclusive and luxury’ led to the need for a large, ‘imposing machine’ evoking the’ romance and financial power’ - according to MD, Felix Eaton.
An aluminium coach built body was specified, before the detail of the design were checked off in 3D CAD, ensuring that every area, each line, surface and interface as well as interior ergonomics and proportions were all production ready.
The next step towards a full production car for Eadon Green was to manufacture a full scale Vision Model that can occupy its space in exactly the same proportion as a showroom production car.
Step forward the Vision Model Black Cuillin seen at the Geneva Motor Show - putting Eadon Green and its philosophy for 'beautifully designed and well-engineered cars', in the spotlight.
The coupé promises to top out at 170mph and is powered by a V12 engine, under a long bonnet. On the inside wooden trim and a clock made by watch maker Garrick, are joined by digital instrumentation displaying the Black Cuillin's variable driving modes - operated via steering wheel mounted controls.
